Pastor Dorion Morgan
Raised in a strong Christian household, Dorion received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of seven under the spiritual guidance of his devoted parents. Dorion began singing in the Church Choir at the tender age of four. By age fifteen, Dorion was actively involved in the Music Ministry, singing with such Community Choirs as Divine Inspiration, Truly Anointed and the New Jersey Gospel Workshop. By the age of seventeen, he was playing the piano and the organ for various Church Choirs. He became Church Choir Director for a 60-member adult gospel choir by age nineteen.
On June 3rd, 1995, the Lord showered His blessings upon Dorion, uniting him in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Joy. Dorion and his wife Joy share a wonderful Christ centered life together in the South Jersey area where Dorion is also the partner of a prominent law firm. Dorion and Joy are partners in every area of ministry that God has called them, including pastoral, marriage, and music.
Having a passion for God and for Music Ministry, Dorion has served in the capacity of Musician, Choir Director and Soloist for more than twenty years. In the year 1999, this passion was further evidenced when Dorion formed the South Jersey Mass Choir, in which he served as Founder and President. In answering the call of God to “Serving Christ through Serving the Community”, the South Jersey Mass Choir did not limit itself to singing. The choir also served through such outreach initiatives as clothing drives, street ministry, Adopt-A-Family and the Christmas Wish program, to name just a few.
Under Dorion’s leadership, the South Jersey Mass Choir recorded two CD projects, where Dorion served as Executive Producer, “Always Faithful” & “Christmas with South Jersey Mass Choir”. The choir was also featured on the “Greg Allen and Friends” CD project out of Philadelphia, and the Bertha Morgan “For the Rest of My Days” project.
Answering God’s call to preach the gospel, Dorion began his formal preaching career in the year 2003 although he had been preaching during concerts for years. He was later ordained and installed as Pastor and Founder of Restoration Station Christian Fellowship in Burlington, New Jersey in the year 2004. Some activities of Restoration Station include forming the Burlington Kids Choir, sponsoring a semi-annual Praise & Worship Conference, and forming the One in Worship Workshop Choir.
The Lord has been transforming Dorion’s music ministry from traditional and contemporary gospel to praise & worship and Christian contemporary. The transition has created a beautiful mix of music that appeals to a broad audience crossing age, racial, and denominational barriers. The music ministry of Pastor Dorion Morgan & Total Praise was birthed out of this transition.
They have been featured in many concerts throughout the South Jersey area and Bermuda, with national recording artists Craig Hayes and the United Voices, Israel Houghton & New Breed, Judith Christie McCallister, and Minister Stephen Hurd.
It is Dorion’s desire that his life demonstrates one of “Total Praise” and Unity in the Body of Christ.
Assistant Pastor Joy Morgan
Joy and Pastor Dorion have been married since June 1995. Joy is her husband’s constant partner in the ministry. Serving as the Assistant Pastor of Restoration Station, she assists him in multiple church-related functions and also travels across the United States ministering by his side in the area of music. Pastor Joy is also blessed to minister the Word of God at conferences and various church services, with the objective of empowering and restoring people through Jesus Christ.
Joy received her elementary and secondary education from the Willingboro Public School System, graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, and has a Masters Degree in Education Administration from Rutgers University. She also possesses a certificate in Biblical Studies from Eastern University's School of Christian Ministry.
Joy accepted Christ as a young girl, and later recommitted her life to Him at the age of eighteen. The Lord gave Joy a passion for music ministry and has served as a director for many choirs, including the South Jersey Mass Choir, founded by Pastor Dorion. Joy also developed a passion to lead God’s people into the presence of the Lord through praise and worship ministry and currently serves as the praise and worship leader at Restoration Station and now sings in her husband’s praise and worship ensemble, Pastor Dorion Morgan & Total Praise.
The Lord has also given Joy a heart for marriage and women’s ministry. She, along with Pastor Dorion, founded MYJOY Christian Family Ministries, a ministry dedicated to strengthening and serving families by providing Biblical instruction and positive interaction with other Christian families through seminars and retreats. She also serves as the facilitator of Restoration Station’s women’s ministry “Women of Restoration”.
God has given Restoration Station a pastoral team, in which Pastors Dorion and Joy Morgan minister together to meet the needs of men and women that seek to be restored by the living God. “Restoration begins in the presence of the Lord”.
